Welcome to the new GMM web site.  Below the founders of Guatemala Medical Missions, Doctor Jim Hines and his wife Kay, stand in front of Lake Atitlan, one of the most scenic and tranquil gifts of God and nature in the country of Guatemala (above).  Behind this beautiful setting, however, the horrors of poverty and disease affect the lives of millions of Guatemala residents.  These deplorable conditions inspired the creation of the Guatemala Medical Mission efforts and the facilities and activities shown and discussed on this web site.  Doctor Hines' slogan for this ministry is "Replacing Sickness with Health, and Despair with Hope".
