At Prince of Peace home for girls in Guatemala God has given us a vision that can only be fulfilled through the power of a living God.  At POP we have 50 girls who have come to us by court order.  Why?  Not because they are "bad" girls but because their families have failed them-the girls have been the victims of abandonment and much abuse-physical, sexual and emotional.  They finally come to the attention of the juvenile courts that place them with us for their protection.  Most of the girls are between 6 and 12years old when they come and may be here for 1 to 10 years.  Here they are safe, loved and cared for.  But God has given us a vision to do more than just feed and clothe them.  Our vision is for them to become mature adults-physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Giving them an education to be able to financially provide for themselves is a major component of the picture.  A significant limitation has been the lack of adequate computers.  As the girls enter high school they must go off campus and computer use is an integral part of their education.  Unfortunately the computers we had were so old that some were still running Windows 98.  In January through the efforts of two of our loyal supporters, we were given the opportunity to buy computers at a much reduced price.  The decision was made to take funds out of our operating account to purchase six computers and then ask people to give specifically toward the cost of the computers which was $ 3000.  Within a week God moved upon the hearts of the men at Grace Presbyterian Church in Corpus Christi Texas who gave us our first donation of $ 1000.  They have made an investment into the lives of young girls who otherwise would follow the old pattern of falling back into the same cycle of abuse and poverty.  Only eternity will reveal the true fruit of their investment.  If you too would like to invest in that which moth and rust cannot corrupt and where thieves cannot break in and steal, please send your investment to:
